Arlene Radasky

I have a friend Sean Brown, http://www.protrucker.com I met on Twitter recently. Getting to know him even better through the loss of another. He was a long distance trucker in Canada, on the road for days at a time. He had other jobs but found that driving the big rigs was the one that fit his heart the best. Unfortunately, his wife at that time left him, took his stepdaughter and broke his heart. The story in his words is here http://protruckr.com/white-lines-with-the-hammer-down

To connect with people, he started twittering and sending out wonderful pictures of the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Well, he met TracyLynn Proffer through the internet, and she was able to help him get through that heartache.

His heart healed, he married and now has a son. He slipped on some ice, severely broke his left leg and ankle, and will not be able to drive again. TracyLynn was giving him support even while she was dying from cancer.

He is going to find a new road in life.

She died on January 25, 2011.

Highway to Heaven

The road the past few years had been rough

His wife left him taking her daughter.

There seemed to be no way to go

Roadblocks and detours lined his way.

A phone was all she left him

Throwing dignity and love into the trash.

Dark holes of night absorbed his life

The sun never fully out during the day.

We die inside when love is broken

We find our self-worth is destroyed.

All he could do was keep moving,

The call of eighteen-wheelers keeping him alive.

To ease the pain and record his journey

He took pictures of the home of the gods

The Canadian Rocky Mountains were his

To share with the world through his lens.

Driving solo, each day much like the next

He found a partner to share his ride.

Some may laugh at his choice of passengers,

But Monkey Bone would forever be true.

Our brave new world opens up for him

Allowing his photos to be shared by all

He started posting them with a purpose now

The mornings come with a smile.

He gained many friends through electronic waves

Especially one who would change his life

Giving him hope and a way to see his days as full

Yet they never met face to face.

Cancer and hospitals were her small world now

A brave woman who only wanted a window

She admired every picture he had taken

They gave her relief through pain and grief.

Together they formed an unlikely bond

Both in pain and suffering from loss.

She helped him see he had a good road ahead

And hope of a life yet to live.

One day, long into a drive,

On a road he’ driven many times before

Rounding a corner so long in the dark

The gods let him see where they live.

Mountains in profile and wonder

The sun setting the tallest on fire

A sight only seen once in a life

Time stopped, and healing began.

His eyes were opened to the wonder

His heart, now open to love again

He won his race with darkness

With the help of a wonderful friend.

Even with his life now changed

It will be another rough road to overcome

He has her laughter to remember

Her strength to support him down new roads.

She did not win. She is gone.

She now lives in heaven

Right there on that mountain top,

Look close, you can see her smile.

Her words echo through the valleys

Bounced of the top of the world

“Take in each day as a new one,

Never turn down the gift of life.

As rough as our roads may be each day

As dark as the nights make us feel,

There will never be a life worth less than these rugged mountains

Nor a friend not worthy of love.”

I like to share with you all my Home Town of the Last 11 Years, The Photos you will See are just a Small Part of what is here in town. The Community People and Business here are the Friendliest I have come across in all of Canada, Now That Does Not say there are Not Communities all over Canada That have Friendly People and Great Business, But For me just to walk down the Street and have People you don’t Know say Hello to you with a Smile on there Face just makes My Day, There is so Much here For Family’s, Like the Boys Girls Club and Swimming Pools and other Family fun, The Night life here is great and Lots to do For all ages.  They Have the Best Health Care here with DR’s with great bed side Manor. along with all there is in the summer the Winter has Even More to offer, the Lakes i have shown in the Photos here when the snow is Falling and the temp drops you can Ice skate on the Lakes, the City of Camrose also in the Local area’s set up outside skating for kids and Family’s.

The Schools here are top of the School system for the area, Camrose is a Farming Community with  so Many Business here I cant get them all in one Photo Shoot. Camrose Alberta is also home to Big Vally Jamboree the Largest outdoor Country Music Fest www.bigvalleyjamboree.com So if you are ever in this Neck of the Woods and want a great Place to Raze your Family or just want to just get away for a Break from the 9 to 5 go go go Life style Well Camrose Alberta Canada is the Place to go.
